Govan Mbeki Housing Company (GMHC)
Govan Mbeki Housing Company (GMHC) is a non-profit social housing institution that has been established as a special purpose vehicle to deliver social housing stock. GMHC's primary role is to cater for the needs of the low to middle income earners.
GMHC provides rental accommodation for occupation by the low-to- moderate-income families who prefer a social housing option. GMHC intends to provide rental accommodation by facilitating the construction of units and by purchasing existing dwellings within the Govan Mbeki Municipal area, and beyond, thus catering for the needs of the low to middle income earners.

Our History
Our Development
Our first development was the redevelopment of hostels as part of the Tsalanang Family Complex. We are also responsible for the management of 81 municipal houses. The Govan Mbeki Municipality has provided us with land. Our project in Evander is a residential development for commercial sale.
